The Boss Chic life

Often times we see women on social media posting a sharing photos that can seem to resemble a modern fairy tail. In some instaces these individuals have PR and glam squads who work endlessly to create the brand of success and glam. Behind the so called “Boss chic” brand is many layers that lie beneath the surface. Before you  idolized a complete stranger, think about it this way. Behind every victory was once a victim of something.  There is never a message without a “mess”    At some point.

Most of the Boss chics has an amazing testimony. Most have had or has struggled/ struggling  with past or present obstacle. For myself, I struggled in my self esteem for years. I didn’t feel pretty and behind it all I wanted to appear whole. I never wanted to show weakness or fears to anyone because folks can be so judgmental and pressed to share your flaws. The pressure of success constanly tries the reality of the authenthic you and the struggles of owning you authentic voice. The goal of perfection is distant. Society always has a new standard of what beauty looks like, and what size dress you should wear and the length of your hair, or even the size of your backside. So many social shares and likes to keep up with.. what’s  the perfect angle to shoot your next selfie. It can be really overwhelming.

The truth of matter a lot of Boss Chic have a heart of gold. Many of them seem stand-off ish because of the moving and takers we have encountered. It can be hard sometimes to bring people into your circle because  people sometimes have hidden agendas or bad motives. I have had folks around me simply to find out my traded secrets.  However, No one can truly predict the intentions of a person, that’s why having Godly intuition comes in, because it can save you a lot of headache. And If I am in doubt I simply ask Holy Spirit for guidance.

Friendships with Boss Chics

It can be difficult because of time restraints.

They may not make it to every event you host, but they still love you.

They may not remember every important date in your life, Send them reminders as often  needed.

They truly care about everyone, yet they are super busy.

While others are sleep, he are working sometimes at 1 AM on a project

Sometimes we are not avoiding conversation..we are just sleepy

(forgive us) lol

Boss Chics need:

You may think they get these often, however we don’t. Sometimes we pour out so much energy into others that we can get overwhelmed and forget to take care of ourselves.

Writing this blog has inspired me to continue with transparent ministry.

My goal for this article is to give you a inside examination of The Boss Chic and how we love and respect our passion that we are willing to risk it all for the betterment of society and business.

Happy Monday!  My current read is the Total Forgiveness Experience by R.T Kendall.

Last year it felt like I lost so many friends, but after much prayer and fasting God revealed the “WHY”. Often times we think and point the finger at everyone else, but the fact of the matter it’s us. I know it hurts to hear that.  I can admit that I  had undeveloped areas in my  life that cause me to fail in relationships time after time.

I can honestly say I have  100% made the area my #1 priority to change.

We can’t help and heal the world if we are broken ourselves.

Take the opportunity to unplug for everything and fix the undeveloped areas of your life!

What happens when we don’t forgive?

  • Prideful
  • Angry
  • Resentful
  • Bitter
  • Vengeful
  • Hostile
  • Judgmental
  • Lonely
  • Fearful
  • Joyless
  • Defensive
  • Exhausted
  • Blaming
  • Irrational
  • Violent
  • Manipulative

Can you identify with any of these emotions?

I had a situation with a friendship where I was falsely accused of something. I couldn’t believe that person could lie on me for no apparent reason. What did I do to deserve this situation. My character was under attack and I was so hurt that it nearly broke me down. Not because I was guilty, but it was because the person who did it was a person who I personally gave value and weight in my life. It took everything in me not to lose my cool and want to revert to sinful ways. But because I know God and know that I did nothing intentionally wrong to that person, I decided to let God fight for me. He created in me a heart for people and often times I has been hurt because I allowed people to come into my life before checking them out first. Being nice is one thing but being someone’s doormat is not the will of God.

What to do next?

Invite God into the situation. He personally knows both parties.

Ask God to forgive you ,if there was any part that you contributed to the situation. Sometimes shutting down is a sin because it insulates and causes a divide in that relationship. Space is important ,but only for a season to collect your thoughts and comfort  the issue ( in love) for change. Insulation can ruin a covenant relationship especially  in a marriage. Be careful not to get missing and stop communicating.

Secondly, pray for them to see their part in the situation. The heart of the King is in the hand of the Lord. So don’t be afraid to ask for God’s help in the matter. Total forgiveness about you and it’s a process that should not be taken for granted.

Lastly, try not to share the situation with a weak or emotional undeveloped person. Please don’t go to that kind of person, because it won’t end well. I have been there and I tried to find comfort in the situation but after sharing my intimate feelings with an undeveloped person and they told me ” I would curse them out, Don’t let them get away with that, get even, don’t be stupid” Lord knows that didn’t make me feel any better. So every time I thought about releasing it, I felt “stupid” for letting it happen to me. But I promise you that I am Not stupid and as the bible states

I am with you and I will never leave you or forsake you, I am with you until the ends of the earth.

So If God is with me That’s all that we NEED..

Forgive and live in victory!

It’s Your Time to Finish

There are so many people in America and around the world  who have unfinished projects. Many times we create different things and we allow life to steal the moments, time , and purpose that God has set out for us. Growing  up  I spent a lot of time on my front porch with my best friend. We would spend hours and hours playing a game called “that’s my car”. The funny thing about it is that we were about  10 years old and we knew what we wanted. I would dream that one day I would be married with kids, live in a big house, and  Be a successful business women. I knew then that there was something about me that was amazing. Being a dreamer was all I had and I have embrace every moment of it. Now  I am an author of three books,  salon and boutique owner. I am a super mom and supportive wife.

This is your season to finish and God is depending on you to finish what he has started in you before you were conceived in your mother’s stomach.  God himself created something on the inside of you  that would change a generation! Yes,you! you are not reading this by happenstance but by a divine appointment from God to shake and stir up the gift on the inside with you. Let this be a new day and season in your life to grow, to gain information and walk in the calling of God on your life. I want to take this opportunity to say to you finish it! Finish it!

Just like every other thing in life, you’re bound to fail in your various businesses if you lose or fail to remain focused. This is the reason why it’s very essential to maintain absolute focus with your business, after all you established the business with certain objectives in mind. What with the many distractions in life, you will definitely fail on achieving your business objectives if you’re not focused.
As a business owner, you need to ask yourself a couple of questions. What are your reasons for establishing your business? Did you establish the business because you wish to be your own boss and make your own business decisions? Is it your target to have the liberty of choosing your own working hours? Many things such as friends, family, home chores and other things could easily get you distracted from achieving your business goals.
Here are 4 tips that will help you to stay focused as it pertains to running a successful business.
1. Don’t forget why you started your business in the very first place. These reasons must always be alive in your mind all the time. Your business is not going to make money instantly and any plan you have that you think guarantees immediate results is enough distractions already.
Succeeding with your business needs enthusiasm, drive and hardwork. Your business won’t be successful for long if you lose focus and forget why you started your business in the first place.
2. Your business is really a job, and that means you have to handle it like one. You might find that family and friends might drop by for social calls once in a while, simply because they know where to find you. A lot of people don’t really understand the real idea behind establishing a business. Your family and friends wouldn’t be visiting you, if you were to be working a certain job, because they would know you’ll be busy and won’t have time for them. Same goes to your business. Treat it as a real job and let them know you’re busy until you’re able to hire more hands. It is necessary from the very beginning to stand firm, do not let family and friends run you over.
Remember, you started the business with a goal in mind. There will always be time to socialize, but not when you’re busy attending to your business!
3. Many people start their own business so that they can handle their time by themselves and possible spend more time with family. However, don’t get it twisted, you’re bound to work more hours during the starter-phase of your business. Therefore, it is vital that you schedule working hours separate from your other non business activities.
4. Oftentimes, you’ll realize that as your business becomes more busy, that a lot of time is squandered on business activities that are not productive. It’s then that you might wish to think about hiring a third party to help out with some tasks.
In case your time is spent more profitably writing advertising copies or posts to promote your new business, but rather you’re tending to the paperwork and answering the phone, then it’s definitely time to hire a helping hand. You could possibly free up several hours each week, enabling you time to concentrate on the productive business activities.
The success of your business is in entirely in your hands. The more effort and the hard work you put in, the higher the benefits will be. Constantly remind yourself why you established the business in the first place, stay dedicated and focused, and you’ll surely succeed.
